Ceri’s story

Get to know the team behind Dreamflight’s 2026 Orlando trip in this special series, shining a light on the volunteers who make it all possible.

Meet Ceri, one of Dreamflight’s volunteer physios.

Ceri is a children’s physiotherapist in Newcastle, working in hospitals and out in the community. In her spare time she enjoys playing and watching all kinds of sports, especially rugby!

This year will be Ceri’s fourth trip to Orlando with Dreamflight. As a physio, Ceri reviews each child and young person’s condition and mobility needs within the regional group before the trip, making sure anyone who requires support or specialist equipment has what they need. She also plans for those with ongoing physiotherapy needs – from daily chest physio to regular stretches – so they can stay at their best and get the most out of their Dreamflight experience.

“Meeting a new group of extremely deserving young people and seeing them experience everything the trip is about. Within our group, we usually have young people who have never spent time away from home, let alone been on a plane or gone on a holiday to another country, so it is a huge adventure for them and getting to witness that is very special.

Getting to spend time with a wide range of people, all from different places and with different jobs, that all come together with the same goal of giving their time and effort to make the Dreamflight trips as amazing as possible for the VICs.” – Ceri, Dreamflight Physio
