Firstly, we hope that all our supporters are safe and well in these challenging times.
After monitoring the situation closely over the past weeks, and after much discussion, it is with great sadness that we have decided that our planned October 2020 trip cannot go ahead. The safety and wellbeing of our children and volunteers is always our priority and it has become increasingly clear that the trip could not be the fun and safe experience that we know it can be. We explored various alternative options but – with heavy hearts – feel that this is the right and safe thing to do.
Thank you to those who have nominated children for the 2020 trip. The nominations will be rolled over to 2021 and we have contacted all the nominators in the last week or so. We will identify any ‘urgent’ cases or children who will be ineligible for next year’s trip, so that we can look to arrange a treat for them in the coming months instead.
Huge thanks to everyone who has supported Dreamflight to date. Your support will undoubtedly see us through these difficult times and help to replace the income lost, due to events cancelled during lockdown.
We look forward to organising a fabulous trip again in 2021.
