Back in 2015, Lucy ‘cried with excitement’ after receiving her invitation for a holiday of a lifetime to Florida. The only problem was having to wait for the trip!
She is now a successful actress in Waterloo Road – playing Caz Williams – and has acted opposite Adrian Dunbar in Ridley. We’re so proud of her!
When Lucy was nominated for Dreamflight, she struggled with walking, pain, tiredness and the way others viewed her because she walked differently.
The trip gave her the opportunity to meet lots of new friends, experience new things and be away from her parents! When we asked how the trip had helped her, she said: ‘It made me confident in making friends and trying new things. It was an amazing experience that I wish I could do again!’

Mum Justine agreed and added: ‘I really believe Dreamflight built her confidence and showed her that she is able to do anything. It brought such excitement and happiness.’
When we asked if Justine had any advice for parents whose children could be nominated for Dreamflight, she said ‘I would not hesitate to recommend this trip. It is definitely a life changer and is an opportunity that no family should miss. If your child is nominated and is lucky to be chosen, I guarantee it will be one of the best things your child will experience…My little girl came back absolutely glowing’.
Huge thanks to Lucy and Justine for allowing us to share Lucy’s story and congratulations to Lucy for her success with Waterloo Road. We’re looking forward to seeing her in many more acting roles in the future.
