After his holiday with Dreamflight in the Donald Duck Group, Dylan came back full of confidence. This is why him and dad Robin decided to raise funds for Dreamflight 2023 by climbing the hardest peak to summit on the British Isles!
Sgurr Dearg is a mountain in the Cuillin on the Isle of Skye, over 3200 ft and is topped by the Inaccessible Pinnacle. This didn’t put Dylan off as he was determined to raise as much as he could for a child needing the same experience that he had.
Robin said: ‘We have seen first hand the great work Dreamflight does for kids and we never thought twice about doing some sort of fundraiser to help support their next trip. Dylan was one of the lucky ones that was accepted on their trip of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida. After months of being in hospital, operations and a year away from friends and family he battled hard and made a full recovery. His confidence was low and he had to make a fresh start at secondary school which was hard after missing the 1st year.’
‘After his holiday with Dreamflight, Dylan came back full of confidence and a different child. He also made a wonderful group of new friends who shared in the same experience. This is why we feel we have to do something to support Dreamflight for the next trip of a lifetime for these kids’.
To date, Dylan and Robin have raised almost £2,500 for Dreamflight 2023 and we are so proud of them!
