Although Dreamflight could not travel to Florida – due to the pandemic – it was not going to stop the Charity bringing fun and adventure to a group of fantastic young people! Most children nominated for Dreamflight 2020 and 2021 will be considered for the Dreamflight Trip in October 2022 but some could not be considered, due to their age or medical condition.
Dreamflight didn’t want them to miss out on the chance to have fun, meet new friends and experience new activities so created an amazing weekend at The Calvert Trust in Exmoor, UK.
After a fantastic first night at a luxury hotel, the group travelled to Exmoor and took part in abseiling, bike riding, zip wiring and horse riding for the whole weekend. They even had an early Christmas with stockings, gifts, Christmas trees and a full Christmas dinner! They conquered fears, gained some independence and laughed (a lot).
Huge thanks to the volunteers who made the trip possible, the parents for allowing us to borrow their amazing children and to the supporters of The Big Give 2020 which paid for the trip.
