Dreamflight is thrilled to have been chosen to take part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, whereby donations made online between 4-6 December could be doubled through match-funding.
Dreamflight is urgently looking for business or individuals to make pledges of between £100 and £10,000.
Any pledges we receive now will be used to match public online donations to Dreamflight in December. It will also give Dreamflight the opportunity to access funding from our Big Give Charity Champion, meaning that a pledge could be worth up to four times as much!

How does the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2014 work?
What are we aiming to achieve?
Dreamflight is aiming to raise a total of £40,000 through the Big Give Christmas Challenge. We aim to raise £10,000 from pledges, £10,000 from our ‘Charity Champion’ at the Big Give, and match this with £20,000 from online donations during 4-6 December.
What’s a Pledge?
We have until 30 October 2014 to raise £10,000 from pledges from our corporate or individual supporters. A pledge can be between £100 and £10,000, so we’d either need 100 pledges of £100, or one pledge of £10,000 (or anywhere in-between). A pledge is made by a major donor filling in the online pledge form https://secure.thebiggive.org.uk/pledge/dreamflight. The pledge is conditional on Dreamflight raising the funds needed, and we would not ask for the donation to be made until we have completed our challenge in December.
Who is your Charity Champion?
We don’t know! Dreamflight has been selected by an anonymous philanthropist as part of the Big Give’s ‘Charity Champion’ panel (a panel of generous individuals, businesses and foundations), who has promised to donate £10,000 should we raise a further £10,000 from pledges and £20,000 in online donations.
What happens in December?
The December Challenge Phase will begin at 10am on Thursday 4th December. During this phase, online donations will be doubled by a combination ofCharity Champion Funds and our Pledges. Supporters can donate a minimum of £5, and a maximum of £5,000 (those who have already made a pledge can’t donate online during December). There will be lots of charities taking part and trying to raise as much as possible to access their ‘Charity Champion’ funds.
If Dreamflight raise £10,000 in pledges and raise £20,000 in online donations quickly enough in December, we will receive £10,000 from the Charity Champion Fund. Dreamflight will have then raised £40,000 overall in the Christmas Challenge.
