Thank you for thinking about nominating a child for Dreamflight. Please find following some information to help you and do feel free to contact the Dreamflight team if you have further questions.
Dreamflight is a ten day annual trip to the theme parks of Florida for 8-14 year old children with a serious illness and/or disability. We aim to take children whose situations make it unlikely for them ever to be able to go on such a trip without the full medical, nursing and physiotherapy care we provide. This is a unique opportunity for children to go away without family members, to meet new friends and build confidence and independence.
Only a medical professional responsible for the child’s care can complete the nomination form. Please note that the forms need to be authorised by the child's Consultant or family GP.
Nominations for Dreamflight 2019 (26th October - 5th November 2019) are now open.
Please click here to download a 2019 nomination form. Note: you need to save the form to your own computer and then open it to fill it in. Alternatively you can request one by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 01494 722733. Please read our Medical Director's letter by clicking here, before completing the nomination form.
To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend that applications are not discussed with children until the selection process is complete. A regional Dreamflight Group Leader will contact the nominator directly once all the applications have been reviewed. We aim to invite those children selected for the trip in June.
Once invited, pre-trip meetings are arranged so families, guardians and Dreamflight children can meet their teams and have any questions answered. Dreamflight Group Leaders are always on hand to support.
