Forget the Oscars, the Simpsons 2010 enjoyed their own movie premiere last Sunday. Almost all of the group got together to walk the red carpet and watched the first showing of ‘The Simpsons 2010 in Florida’ before heading to McDonalds for a lunch reminiscent of the trip. It didn’t take long for the whole gang to start chatting again and for the old jokes to flow (what do you call a deer with no eyes?!). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed cameraman Swifty’s fantastic production and it was great seeing the group back together again. Those of you who couldn’t make it- we missed you!
The Simpsons premiere was the first to be broadcast in High Definition thanks to Hammerhead TV providing the groups Cameraman with a Sony EX1 for the duration of the trip. 2010 saw 2 of the Dreamflight cameraman using Sony EX1’s supplied by Hammerhead TV to trial Tapeless video production for the first time.
“Normally the camera crew would have to spend 2-3 weeks post trip transferring all the video footage from tape to the editing suite but with tapeless cameras being used this year, the footage was transferred & ready to edit within minutes of arriving back from the theme parks each day & Hammerhead TV have been a real asset this year in terms of support for the trial” - Cameraman John S
Big thanks to Nigel @ Hammerhead TV & Cameraman John S, for giving us all such a brilliant reminder of the good fun we had together and helping the Simpsons’ parents really experience their children’s Dreamflight.
