The morning started with ‘Lou Lou’s Fitness’ an outdoor exercise class, which the Pirates have participated in each day before leaving the hotel in Orlando.  The class included ‘golf swings’ this morning to celebrate a special guest joining us for the day today.

Wow, wow, wow…we have all had a mind-blowing day.  We were lucky enough to be joined by the Poulter family for the day as a great big thanks for their generous support for Dreamflight.  When we got to Discovery Cove, there was a tropical pool where we could go snorkelling with sting-rays and other beautiful tropical fish.  For many of us, this was our first time using a snorkel and mask and it was so much fun.  The pool was really deep so there was space for lots of fish and they came really close to us.  Lunch was fantastic and we had strawberries for dessert as well as an endless supply of icecream and iced slush drinks all day long. The highlight today was certainly swimming with the dolphins.  We had to wear wetsuits to keep us warm because dolphins like cold water and we also had to wear special dolphin friendly sun lotion.  After a short video where we learned a little bit about dolphins, we were ready to go.  Once we were in the water, we had the fantastic opportunity to touch the dolphins, then hug them, kiss them and feed them before finally swimming with them, which in one Dreamflighter’s exact words was ‘divine’!  Before we said goodbye, we learned a few hand signals, stroked the dolphin’s belly and then watched the dolphins jumping out of the water.  This was the best day of the whole trip and we didn’t want to leave this evening, but the big party we had when we got back to the hotel made up for it…once again, there was lots of fancy dress and we had a fantastic disco with our super new friends and our brilliant escorts that have looked after us all week long.

Tomorrow before we head back to the UK, we are going to watch a Police and Fire display and do a little bit of shopping.  In the evening, we will once again board the ‘Dreamflight 747’ with our trusted Roman Centurion pilots and fly home.

For each child on Dreamflight to swim with the Dolphins, it costs £220, which is equivalent to a monthly donation of just under £20.  If you would like to become a regular supporter of Dreamflight, please contact the Dreamflight office on 01494 722733 and request a standing order mandate form.
