Lycka Till John!!

Good luck to Simpsons friend John Atkinson who is running in the Stockholm marathon on Saturday 28 May.  Here's his story.....

'I couldn’t wait – flights and hotel booked, I was looking forward to a weekend of overpriced drinks and sunshine in Stockholm to support my two friends who’d foolishly decided to run the marathon. Then the call came in - “I’m injured, do you want my place?”. Uh oh. I’d said “yes”.

Three months of sporadic training later (most recently 21 brutal miles around SW London that has earned me the nickname: “Chaffe Guevara”) and I think I’m ready!

As soon as I knew I was running the Stockholm Marathon, I was sure that I wanted to raise money for Dreamflight. I’ve been aware of Dreamflight’s amazing impact on the lives of children for a number of years. A good friend of mine has volunteered on a number of trips, so I know how every pound donated really makes a difference to the lives of seriously ill and disabled children.
