Leg miles for Dreamflight in 2011

The Dreamflight leg miles are already clocking up this year - for many Dreamflight supporters, the training is already underway. 

Brothers Paul and Andrew Braidwood -also known as ‘Team Braidwood’(pictured) completed the Barcelona Marathon on 6^th March and raised over £1100 for Dreamflight.  On the same day here in the UK some members of the Goofy group and the Simpsons group took part in the Bath Half Marathon.  A brave group of Shrek’s (with a stowaway Pooh Bear in tow) are currently resting in preparation for the Reading Half Marathon this Sunday…they are aiming to pay for one child to go on Dreamflight 2011, so please visit http://www.justgiving.com/dreamteamof4 to support their wonderful efforts!  Dreamflight supporter Guy will also be running and Readding and trying to keep up with them.  He aims to raise £1500, so please click here to support Guy.

In addition, other supporters will be taking part in the Fleet Half Marathon this weekend as part of their preparation for the epic London Marathon on Sunday 17^th April.  We have eleven runners supporting Dreamflight in this year’s London Marathon so do look out for them wearing their Dreamflight vests if you will be spectating on the day and give them a friendly cheer as they pass by.  Bethany, Lorna, Matthew, Neil, Terry, Mark, Anthony, Karen, Tony, Paul and Luke will all be helping to raise valuable funds for Dreamflight.  If they each hit their targets, it will pay for five very deserving children to go on the magical trip to Florida later this year.  Each runner has been in hard training for many weeks with the London Marathon finish line in mind…they thoroughly deserve the generous sponsorship and donations that they receive for their efforts!
