Three brave Dreamflight supporters took part in the Virgin London marathon on Sunday. Amongst thousands of other runners, they all completed the mammoth 26.2 ‘leg’ miles in fantastic times.
Despite having a tough day, Tracy Hansford finished in a very respectable 4hours 19 minutes and says ‘My toes have seen better days and I don’t think I will be donning a pair of trainers for a while’ www.justgiving.com/Tracy-Hansford
Peter Hawking completed his first ever marathon in a superb 3 hours 39 minutes. The crowds kept him going for the final miles and Peter has already set his sights on the New York marathon for next year www.justgiving.com/peter-hawking
For Lucy Williamson (pictured), this was also a first marathon and with the help of ‘Team Lucy’ her support team that jumped on and off the underground to see her run past from different places on the 26.2mile course and shout words of encouragement), she also managed a fantastic time of 5 hours and 51 minutes www.justgiving.com/Lucy-Williamson
The Dreamflight office would like to thank the three runners, who have so far raised almost £3000 between them. It’s not too late to support their fantastic efforts and increase the amount raised to £3,500…enough to pay for one child to go on Dreamflight 2010.
