What is Dreamflight?

not just a holiday, but life changing

"Dreamflight has taught me a lot of things...

One is to never let your illness put you down, always look on the bright side of life, and remember there is always someone out there who is worse off than you"

"I am now more confident in myself...

Dreamflight wasn't the place we went, it was the atmosphere and the happiness. I will never forget any of you"

"I had such an excellent time while I was there...

I will absolutely never ever ever ever... forget anything about the trip"

Welcome to Dreamflight

Dreamflight is a UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.

Established in 1987 and operating annually since, Dreamflight believes that fun and joy are just as important as medical research and equipment - especially for children who perhaps can't wait long enough for the breakthrough they need or whose illnesses and treatments have brought pain, distress and disruption to their lives.

We've now met all our 192 VICs for trip 2014, here's the Simpsons group at @Woburn_Safari with Damini the elephant! http://t.co/ZB5kZ2hZGY
Over the last couple of weekends we've now met all our 192 VICs coming on Dreamflight 2014...and what a fantastic bunch they are! Here's a pic of some of this year's Pirates at Gulliver's World yesterday, practising for Orlando. Hold on to your hats!

A massive shout-out to the amazing Dreamriders who arrived safely in Paris at the weekend, after cycling from London to complete the 'Dreamflight Destination Disneyland Paris' challenge. Congratulations to all and we're so proud of you...whoop!

Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the epic four-day 🚲 ride from London to Paris. You've all shown incredible stamina.
@AidanHealey1 We're very proud of you Aidan 👍
@lizjohnson_gb Keep going guys, you're doing great!
16 of our VICs from the Simpsons group were at Woburn Safari Park on Sunday, at their pre-trip get together. Here they are with Damini, a 20-year-old female elephant who is due to give birth at any moment. Good luck Damini, we look forward to receiving your good news!

Huge thanks to Claire Hughes and Karen Sherrington who are doing a parachute jump in aid of Dreamflight today. It's a big personal challenge for the pair who are terrified of heights! If you would like to get your adrenaline pumping for Dreamflight contact jenny.hillam@dreamflight.org and she'll organise a jump for you...
