What is Dreamflight?

not just a holiday, but life changing

"Dreamflight has taught me a lot of things...

One is to never let your illness put you down, always look on the bright side of life, and remember there is always someone out there who is worse off than you"

"I am now more confident in myself...

Dreamflight wasn't the place we went, it was the atmosphere and the happiness. I will never forget any of you"

"I had such an excellent time while I was there...

I will absolutely never ever ever ever... forget anything about the trip"

Welcome to Dreamflight

Dreamflight is a UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.

Established in 1987 and operating annually since, Dreamflight believes that fun and joy are just as important as medical research and equipment - especially for children who perhaps can't wait long enough for the breakthrough they need or whose illnesses and treatments have brought pain, distress and disruption to their lives.

Super chilled day at Blizzard Beach water park. Great fun from the top of Mount Gushmore, from the family fun raft ride to the Downhill Douple Dipper. Plus lots of screams from the brave VICs that tried Summit Plummet, the second tallest and fastest free-fall slide in the world! Everyone had a chilled time floating round the Lazy River…athough the mini donuts at the end of the day seemed to go down best! ;-) To top it off NASA astronauts came into the hotel to see our VICs tonight – to infinity and beyond!

So our VICs were at SeaWorld today (Wed), where they saw dolphins, sharks and rays, and got seriously soaked by the killer whales! And then lots of rides, including Manta and Journey to Atlantis. Plus plenty of ice cream (scorchio hot day!).Then we all dressed up for a fabulous Halloween party, where we danced with Lisa Simpson, Betty Boop and Gru (thanks to Universal Studios for sending them over). Swimming costumes and trunks at the ready for Blizzard Beach tomorrow - fingers crossed for more sun!

Great day today in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Our groups split between the two parks and went on EVERYTHING! The parks opened early just for our VICs to ride the Hogwarts Express, and from there we hit the Hulk, the Mummy Returns, Transformers, Escape from Gringotts..and lots of the water rides! Who's the best group?!
